Besides the obvious relaxing time on one of the many gorgeous beaches along its shores, and around the new marina. Albufeira resort has gained a wide variety of recreation possibilities to offer to all its visitors in terms of sport and leisure activities as well as entertainment. Albufeira is also internationally famous for its nightlife. The two main areas where partying is the most lively are the “Street of Bars” in the Old Town and the “Strip” in Areias de S. João areas on the East side of the city. A wide choice of bars and clubs playing loudly the latest tunes welcome the younger groups throughout the night, but it also has its quieter side for those wishing to relax after a day on the beach.

All along the main sea front are many cafes, restaurants and bars most have outside areas to eat or drink on those barmy nights which frequent the Algarve from May to October.

Sports

For the more energetic there are many sports and leisure activities available including scuba diving, golf, water skiing and fishing. You can book all these trips and activities for most receptions or your local agent, including golf but some times it is best to book golf before you come out. There are over 30 golf courses within 45 minutes from Albufeira the closest is Salgardos around 10 minutes from the center of Albufeira, this course has many water features and can be very entertaining. Vilamoura is only 20 minutes away by car and has 5 great golf courses, The Old Course, Millennium, Pinhal, Victoria and Laguna.

This complex is within easy reach of Albufeira but a car hire is recommended, if you do not wish to rent a car there is a local taxi service on site that is very reasonable priced. The complex consist of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with satellite TV, and most have air-conditioning. You have a shared swimming pool for both adults and children and a large grassed garden, the swimming pool dose have sun beds for the use of clients. This complex is a gated condominium and has under ground car parking so is very secure.
