BOOKING
AND GENERAL CONDITIONS
The
hirer of the rental vehicle will be requested to sign a contractual
agreement with the car hire company on arrival in Portugal. The hirer
will agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the local car hire
company as set out and governed by local laws and the signing of this
agreement will confirm that the contract lies directly with the local
car hire company. UK agents only act as UK agents to the car hire
company in the Algarve, it does not accept any responsibility for
loss, damage, delay, cancellation, injury or any additional circumstances/expenses
suffered by the hirer whatsoever.
AGE
REQUIREMENTS / DRIVING LICENCE
The minimum age for driving groups A, B, C is 21 years and for further
groups shown the minimum age is 23. All drivers must have held a driving
licence for over 12 months. A valid full British driving licence must
be produced in Portugal on signing the rental agreement and a copy
of the agreement should be kept in the vehicle at all times.
WHATS
INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL
Unlimited mileage, third party insurance, and theft
protection. Full airport services, charges and taxes. Free second
named driver on insurance. Out of hours charge for night delivery.
NOT
INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL
Petrol, roof rack's, child/baby seats and Extra CDW Insurance. The
cost to cover the excess on the collision damage waiver insurance
as follows, if required (can be paid for locally only) The extra
CDW insurance does not cover Tyres, Punctures, Coded keys and any
accident caused by the driver being under the influence of alcohol.

DELIVERY
/ COLLECTION
The collection and return of the vehicle will be at the local airport
or local office. Delivery and collection from other locations / resorts
may be possible, please contact us for further details. Delivery and
collection charges may be applicable.
All
vehicles must be returned within 60 minutes of the collection time
or you will be charged for an extra day.
OUT
OF HOURS
We do not charge for hire vehicles delivered out of office hours.
CHILD/BABY
SEATS
Child baby seats can be provided by pre-booking in the UK at a charge
of 15 € (Euro's) per week. Clients should be aware
that baby seat types in Portugal vary from the UK (not British
standard kitemark). If in doubt, clients should take their own car
seat. Clients should note that overloading the car with extra luggage
is not acceptable and any additional luggage that is carried will
be the responsibility of the traveling client.
FLIGHT
INFORMATION
VERY IMPORTANT we will require your flight number and arrival time
at Faro airport. This information will be passed to the car hire
company in the Algarve and they will make arrangements for their
representative to meet you in the arrivals terminal. If flight information
is not given to us we will be unable to pre-reserve your vehicle
and would, unfortunately be unable to guarantee the reservation.
Should you receive any flight changes or alterations to your arrival
time at Faro airport you should contact us immediately so that we
may re-confirm the arrival time.
PETROL
The car hire company in Portugal deliver the car with petrol in the
tank. Clients, when returning the vehicle on departure, must ensure
that the car is returned with the same amount of petrol as on arrival.
The amount of petrol in the tank on arrival will be shown on the contract
agreement with the car hire company. Local deposit requests for petrol
are applicable, maximum deposit €50.
CAR
GROUPS / MODELS
All bookings are confirmed by the rental group, the car hire company
may supply a different model than the model advertised. However, if
they do so the car model will be similar to the car that is advertised.
The car hire company reserve the right to do this. When selecting
your car grouping please remember not to overload or 'squeeze passengers'
into smaller vehicles. The suitability of the interior and luggage
space is the responsibility of the client not the car hire company.
BREAKDOWN
/ TRAFFIC FINES/ ACCIDENTS
Should your vehicle break down, or should you be involved in any type
of accident, contact the car hire company immediately. Their contact
details will be on the car voucher sent to you before your departure.
Kindly note that any traffic offences committed by the hirer, i.e.
parking fines, speeding or impounding (towing away) are the responsibility
of the hirer. The car hire company accepts no responsibility. Hirers
should be aware of the strict 'no drinking and driving' law in Portugal.
CREDIT
CARD PAYMENTS
All credit card payments will carry a 5%
surcharge on the total of the cost.
CANCELLATIONS
/ REFUNDS IF PAYING BY CREDIT CARD
There will be no refunds for non-arrival at airport or non-provision
of requested documentation (including driving licence). There will
be no refunds on unused days. Any cancellations or any requested cancellations
must be emailed to us to allow us to cancel the booking.

COMPLAINTS
Any complaints arising whilst in resort must be reported directly
to the car hire company in Portugal, their name address and contact
number will be on your car hire voucher which will be sent to you
before your departure. Any complaints not registered whilst in resort
will be unable to be dealt with should you complain on your return
to the UK. The car hire company's policy in Portugal is to resolve
any problems / disputes whilst in resort / Portugal.
