Vale de Milho, a par 3 course located near Carvoeiro is a course more for the beginner, but for the low handicap golfer wishing to brush up on the short game it could be of some use. Designed by Dave Thomas Vale de Milho has two sets of tees, the first nine measures 926 meters and the second time round 919 meters.
The holes here range from 60 meters to 164 meters, water hazards, bunkers and the usual Algarve trees make this par 3 course a challenging way to brush up your game.
The second hole is well worth the trip, a waterfall comes from the left and flows into a lake on the right of the green, a testing hole for even a low handicapper. On your approach to the clubhouse the 9th has a very narrow fairway and is well protected by bunkers the fairway also slopes to the left. This green also has one other obstacle, the terrace and clubhouse extend over the green, which for a nervous golfer could be somewhat daunting.
